ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists HVAC Technician to trouble shoot, repair, and replace heating forced air units and water heaters in residential homes.
- Assists in operating a variety of equipment such as hand tools and diagnostic instruments (monoxers and duct testing).
- Assists with prioritizing and managing different tasks to be completed.
- Follows all safety regulations.
- Ensures quality and compliance of all installations and repairs to utility standards.
- Follows and implements verbal and written directions from HVAC Tech and Supervisor.
- Assists HVAC Technician to clean and fine tune furnace and FAUs.
- Documents and reports work performed to ensure accurate billing.
- Loads and unloads materials from trucks as needed.
- Ensures client satisfaction by exhibiting consideration, courtesy, professionalism and promptness in carrying out all duties of the program.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or equivalent. One year experience installing weatherization measures, including doors, door modifications, window units, water heaters, furnaces, and handyman-type work, or equivalent.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Basic computer skills required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees or organizations. Must be personable and be able to effectively communicate with others from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Access to transportation, California driver’s license, and minimum auto insurance as required by law.
