Summary: Serves as general consultant and liaison for appliance installation programs and any other energy-savings program products or measures. Services to include the delivery and installation for qualified customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Makes appointment with customer for the delivery of the appliance or any other energy-saving program product or measure.
Delivers the appliance and properly installs the appliance or any other energy-saving program product or measure.
Installs a grounded outlet, if outlet is not property grounded, in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal laws and ensures that all safety measures have been applied.
Completes the “Grounding Consent” form and delivers a copy of the “Statement of Understanding” to the customer.
Removes old appliance, if applicable, and transports it to be recycled.
Keeps accurate records of inventory and installments.
Travels to meetings, trainings, and program update meetings/conferences, as needed.
Loads and unloads products from trucks, as necessary.
Keeps trucks and Energy Programs portion of the Distribution Center clean and free from debris.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or equivalent required. One year experience installing various appliances. Ability to work with electrical wiring, copper tubing and plumbing required.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Moderate computer skills required for data entry, Word, Excel, and other software programs, as required for the position.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Abilty to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees or organizations. Must be personable and be able to effectively communicate with others from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. May need to be bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Southeast Asian dialect) required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Access to transportation and California driver’s license and minimum auto insurance is required by law.

Employment Range:$15.00 Hr.+ incentive
