THE CARES ACT
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act: was passed by Congress and signed into law by the President on March 27th, 2020.
Purpose
On March 27, 2020 the CARES Act was signed into law by the President.
The purpose of this act is to provide
relief for those who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19.
As a result, Proteus, Inc. received a grant
from Department of Community Services & Development (CSD) to provide
emergency support services to COVID 19 impacted individuals and their families; with specific regard to the consequences of unemployment and underemployment for
low-income migrant seasonal farm workers.
Service Area
Services will be provided in Kern, Tulare, Kings, & Fresno counties in the following offices:
- Delano
- Dinuba
- Fresno
- Hanford
- Kerman
- Porterville
- Sanger
- Selma
- Visalia
Allowable Services:
- Food Voucher
- Rent/mortgage payments
- Utility Payments
- COVID-related medical bills
- Transportation Assistance
- Internet Reimbursement
