SUMMARY: In a support role, provides services in the areas of outreach, recruitment, assessment,
counseling, and preparation of Individual Employment Plans (IEP), follow-up services, and implements and
manages a particular project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

1. Provides outreach, recruitment, and establishes linkages with community agencies to build awareness of Proteus programs.
2. Completes customers’ intake applications for services, determines eligibility, and administers tests accordingly.
3. Enters customers’ information, such as eligibility, testing, assessment, and case notes into appropriate data entry systems.
4. Assists in the preparation and completion of the Individual Employment Plans (IEP).
5. Provides participant counseling and post placement follow-ups.
6. Maintains contact with education/training site personnel to ensure accurate and prompt paperwork.
7. Works closely with job development staff and other professionals to ensure customer program success.
8. Coordinates training reimbursement activity with training and employment staff.
9. Completes records, forms and reports required for fiscal and reporting or planning purposes.
10. Maintains communication with office/division staff to ensure staff is fully informed of
project/component requirements and opportunities and coordinates project or component with other programs.
11. Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or equivalent and certificate of completion from a

COMPUTER SKILLS: Moderate computer skills required for data entry, Word, Excel, and other software
programs, as required for the position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability
to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest,
commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic
algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in
standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Access to transportation, California driver’s license, and
minimum auto insurance as required by law. Must maintain good driving record.

SUMMARY: Assists in the continual development of electronic systems (Routers, hubs, circuits and
workstations) technical maintenance/support on computer, telephone system and electronic equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Maintains and supports Microsoft Server 2000/2003, Windows 2000/XP Professional, TCP/IP and communication(s) equipment. Thorough understanding of Microsoft Active Directory.
2. Assists in continual development of interfacing Region with corporate-wide computer systems to include personal computers, communications, software and peripheral equipment, including LAN & WAN networking technologies.
3. Assists in determining current and future needs for the Region, including research, test and evaluation of equipment and software to verify that corporate needs are satisfied.
4. Provides day-to-day support and maintenance of networking systems, including on-call support.
5. Utilizes troubleshooting and problem solving software systems on Windows 2000/XP workstations to solve system problems.
6. Oversees/performs repair needs of computer systems and internal wiring or cables for connectivity or selects appropriate contractor for the work.
7. Provides user support for Microsoft Exchange 2003, Terminal Services, and Active Directory.
8. Maintains log of equipment/software problems and repairs. Provide weekly reports of work completed.
9. Assists in the maintenance and support of other networking and communication equipment.
10. Assists in the taking of physical inventory of computer hardware/software systems. Locate and verify inventory identification tags for inventory control of computer hardware.
11. Responsibilities include working on assigned, scheduled or determined priorities with little or no supervision.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform

understanding of with experience configuring enterprise LAN networking technologies. Candidate must be able to
support Microsoft Exchange 2003 server and client applications. Experience with supporting Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory is highly desired.
